SMS Varanasi starts Business Skill Development Pro

School of Management Sciences Varanasi, in association with Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Govt. of India, has started a four week long training program for the budding entrepreneurs of this region. This Business Skill Development Program is being attended by the undergraduate and post-graduate students of various disciplines at the Khushipur Campus of SMS Varanasi. The students will be trained on various business management areas such as marketing, finance, human resource development, information technology, decision making, creative problem solving etc.
Earlier, the program was inaugurated on 30th January, 2012 at the Khushipur Campus of School of Management Sciences, Varanasi. Chief Guest Mr.I.B.Singh (Director MSME) and Guest of Honour Mr.D.K.Srivastava (Dy.Director, Incharge MSME) along with Prof.P.N.Jha (Director, SMS Varanasi) inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp and garlanding the statuette of Goddess Saraswati. In his welcome speech, Prof.P.N.Jha emphasized on the concept of entrepreneurship and business management. He asked the students to become job creators rather than becoming job seekers. Chief Guest Mr.I.B.Singh told about the MSME project of Govt. of India and shared the success story of some entrepreneurs of this region who were benefitted by this program. Guest of Honour Mr.D.K.Srivastava also discussed about the features and benefit of this program which is being provided free of cost to the participants.
The curriculum of this program was discussed by Dr.Ravi Shekhar Vishal (Senior Lecturer, SMS Varanasi) and the vote of thanks was given by Mr.Alok Kumar (Asso. Prof. SMS Varanasi). On the occasion, Dr.M.P.Singh (Executive Secretary, SMS Varanasi) felicitated the guests with memento. Mr.Sanjay Gupta (Registrar, SMS Varanasi) and other faculty members were also present at the venue. The whole program was coordinated by Dr.Meenakshi Singh (Senior Lecturer, SMS Varanasi).
